A burglary suspect apparently scared off by an alarm was arrested Monday morning as he was walking away from the scene.
Kingman police Capt. Rusty Cooper said officers arrived "in short order" following the report of an alarm set off at an electronics business in the 3100 block of Stockton Hill Road around 5 a.m. Monday.
The alarm went off after a window was shattered.
Officers questioned 32-year-old Gregory James Pavelchack of Bullhead City, who was located on foot nearby.
He reportedly confessed to breaking the glass. Cooper said it appears that Pavelchack was trying to break into the business but did not because of the audible alarm.
No property was stolen.
Pavelchack was booked into the Mohave County Jail on felony charges of burglary and criminal damage.
