The bodies of a Bullhead City employee, his wife and a teenage boy were discovered in a Bullhead City home Thursday.
Police said the investigation is ongoing but that they do not believe anyone else was involved, pointing to a possible murder-suicide scenario.
"With the evidence we've collected so far, we have no reason to believe this incident involves anyone except these three people," Bullhead City Deputy Chief Brian Williamson stated in a press release.
The manner of the deaths was not disclosed.
Police were called to a home in the 2400 block of Merrill Avenue after 53-year-old Robert Bryan Ulan failed to show up for work in the wastewater division. The bodies of Ulan, his wife, 47-year-old Valerie Jean Ulan and Valerie's son, 17-year-old Jay Jeffrey Artz, were found inside.
A rifle was found under Robert Ulan's body.
Artz was a student at Mohave High School.
"We are shocked by this senseless tragedy. It's hit our entire community hard," Bullhead City Manager Toby Cotter said.
Bullhead City is offering counseling to its employees affected by the deaths.
