Homeowner helps block truck theft

A 24-year-old Kingman man was jailed Friday after a homeowner interrupted a car theft in progress, according to the
Mohave County Sheriff's Office
.
Bailey Joe Bell was booked into the Mohave County Jail for felony burglary. Bell reportedly took off running when a male homeowner in the 2300 block of East Sierra Vista Avenue went outside around 7 a.m. and caught Bell allegedly trying to steal a friend's truck parked outside.
The man followed him to the 2100 block of Gordon Drive, where deputies responded and arrested Bell, who admitted to trying to hotwire the truck, said Sheriff's spokeswoman Trish Carter.
