Mohave County Sheriff's deputies said they confiscated a tin container marked "Meth Time" from a 20-year-old suspect arrested for allegedly stealing a car from a local dealership.
Richard Allan Prunty was booked into the Mohave County Jail Monday morning on felony charges of theft of means of transportation and possession of drug paraphernalia, along with four outstanding warrants.
Deputies said they received a tip regarding the whereabouts of a wanted person and found Prunty outside of a residence in the 2800 block of East Butler Avenue around 8:45 a.m. At the time, Prunty was driving a Honda Civic, according to Sheriff's spokeswoman Trish Carter.
Carter said Prunty admitted to stealing the Civic a few nights before from a car dealership in Kingman. A records check confirmed that the car was stolen.
While deputies were searching the Civic, Carter said they found a white box labeled "Meth Time."
She said the box contained plastic bags and a makeshift smoking pipe.
Prunty was also arrested on a felony warrant for a previous theft of means of transportation charge and three misdemeanor warrants, including failure to appear and two contempt of court violations.
