Mohave County road crews are still working on widening Bank Street between Northern and Jagerson Avenues. The street is currently closed and detours are marked. The street will remain closed for the next several months.
Also in the Kingman area, maintenance crews will be cleaning culverts and patching potholes on Hualapai Mountain Road and Lazy YU Drive. Workers will also be patching potholes on Charles, Baker and Able drives between Northern Avenue and Diagonal Way. In Golden Valley, workers will be sweeping So-Hi Estates and sealing cracks on Griffith and Apache Roads. They will also continue to work on a drainage project near Tonto Road, Tonto Place and Redwall Drive.
Superintendent Roger Jacks and members of the Kingman Unified School District Board will offer their insights when the Mohave Republican Forum presents "The Status of Education" at 5:30 p.m. Feb. 13. This discussion of issues, goals, anticipated innovations and needs will be held in the Elks Lodge, 900 Gates Ave.
Also, District 4 County Supervisor Joy Brotherton and County Assessor Ron Nicholson will make a brief presentations on current state and county issues.
