KINGMAN - The weather's warming - recent cool and high winds notwithstanding - and that means it's time for another season of Chillin' on Beale.
The party kicks off at 6 p.m. Saturday on the 400 block of Beale Street. Not only will attendees have the opportunity to check out dozens of classic cars, listen to classic music and eat some classic food, author Roger Naylor will be there to sign copies of his new travel book, "Arizona Kicks on Route 66."
Naylor is a prolific writer who has been published in Arizona Highways, the Arizona Republic, USA Today, Go Escape, Western Art & Architecture and Route 66 Magazine.
Chillin' on Beale takes place every third Saturday of the month April through October.
The Downtown Merchants Association is the sponsor this month. The group purchased 100 dash plaques that will go to the first 100 participating cars.
