Despite downpours, monsoons do have an upside
9/12/2013 5:57:00 AM
There have been rainbows and greenery around Kingman lately, but there have also been sheets and sheets of rain. Mohave County rain gauges on Hualapai Mountain, for example, recorded nearly an inch and a half of rain from Sunday through Wednesday afternoon; Rancho Santa Fe had almost 1.2 inches in that same time period, and the official count for Kingman was just over an inch. The National Weather Service forecast a 50 percent chance of thunderstorms Wednesday night, with partly sunny skies - and no rain in the forecast - starting today and continuing through the weekend.
