KINGMAN - Motorists headed east on Interstate 40 need to know that crews on Wednesday night began pavement work on the interstate between Ash Fork and Williams.
The interstate in each direction of the 16-mile stretch between mileposts 146 and 162 will be subject to lane restrictions over the next four weeks while the work is performed between 1 a.m. and 8 a.m.
In addition to new pavement and pavement markings, guardrails will be replaced and some bridgework will be performed.
Completion is scheduled for next spring, according to the Arizona Department of Transportation.
