KINGMAN - A 6-year-old Kingman boy riding his bike was struck by a car and killed Sept. 13 on Route 66 and Thompson Avenue.
The crash occurred at about 6:40 p.m. after the boy, Daniel Early, rode his bike across the highway and into the median, where he turned around and re-entered the northbound lane and was hit by Eweulle Robertson, who was driving a Ford Thunderbird.
A Nissan pickup driven by Tap Tomlinson also hit the bicycle, according to Officer Carrick Cook, a spokesman with the
Department of Public Safety
The boy had no pulse and was unconscious and not breathing when personnel from the Northern Arizona Consolidated Fire Department and American Medical Response arrived, according to NACFD Chief Patrick Moore.
A bystander attempted CPR until help arrived, said Moore.
Moore said Early was taken by ground ambulance to Kingman Regional Medical Center.
He was pronounced dead just before 9 p.m., according to Cook.
Neither driver was impaired or speeding.
