@ patriot wes - Where did that deluded tirade come from? What, exactly, does that lawsuit trash have to do with my observations on opinions of Zanna's that I think may be irrational?

As I find out more about our County Manager (not me) the more flattered I am that you might think that I fill that bill. Ron Walker seems to be a well educated, reasonable man who served his country well for 30 years before embarking upon a second career.

Conversly, your willingness to serve on a jury on a matter for which you have so obviously formed a firm negative opinion points out dramatically your total disregard for our systems of government (unless they agree with your biases). Perhaps you need another descriptor in your post name and leave "patriot" for someone who better deserves it.

I can say you picked the right name for yourself. You have become angry at Luca because he is showing all the flaws in this County Government of which you are a member!
With more and more residents now understanding this, it is really making you angry! Lawsuits? The County Manager (you) and BOS Sockwell both belittled Luca in two seperate articles in the KDM, called him a terrorist, along with a bunch of other name calling. With that said, you also violated his constitutional rights at the McCain meeting!
You created this lawsuit and have nobody to blame but yourself! But because you are so arrogant, you still don't think it is your fault!
Luca wants to let a jury decide. I would love to be on that jury!

@az mac - Trying not to sound too full of myself I like to think that I am versed well above average in the history of our Republic and the period of European History (the age of Discovery) that led up to the settlement of the Americas. That education included a rather comprehensive course in the documents and the men who put forth the principles that have guided our government for 234 years.

I am very aware of Mr. Zanna's recent acquisition of knowledge in the Constitution as presented to all seeking naturalized citizenship. His support for the principles of that document is to be commended - to a point. But, running around with a video camera, taping and questioning a poor National Guard guy who was trying to help direct traffic about Posse Comitatus, taping an APC being carried on a lowboy trailer because it looked suspicious with no markings or service identification, taping a remote weather station while thinking that it is a remote camera to spy on Hwy 68, being suspicious of helicopters flying over Golden Folley and on and on, I find over the top. WAY out there.

Not that it is any of your business, but I receive several sources that keep me very well informed on current events although I will admit to paying more attention to national matters than to Arizona's legislation. All of our elected Federal representatives are aware of my name and the extent of my support.

@We the people thinking - What a one note tune you are.
I would not profess to be an expert in the intimate details of the General Plan 2010 Update. What review I have done would seem to indicate that they have, so far, accomplished just what was stated as a goal They revised sections that were out of step with State and/or Federal regulations and laws because of changes since the 2005 review and they changed most areas of "shall" to "may" or "should" which gives the Commission and the BOS more leeway in intreperting the Plan. That being said, I agree with the Plan as far as my knowledge goes. It is not something that I lose a lot of sleep over because I would not pretend to know the wishes of most of the residents of the county nor should anyone else who has not attended any and all meetings in every area of the county.

@workin man - Not much of a flip-flopper but I have been known to slip into a little sarcasm on occasion. Why on earth would anyone care about identifying an old desert rat like me? Not much excitement there.

Have you read our constitution? Do you know our history?
Luca Zanna knows them very well. He does what all good Americans should do. He watches what bills are being passed, he knows how our politicians vote on the bills. He keeps his eye on what is being done in this country. He knows what is causing most of our problems. Do you know what bills are being brought up in congress or even our state? Do you know how our politicians have voted and on what bills?
If you think his sites are way out then the answer to the questions are NO.

I have read your comments for some time now. You not only flip flop around issues but you are one of the worst in these forum about going negative at the drop of a hat.

One of the other writers comments were correct desert rat put his or her phone number in one of his responses and he or she was easily identified.

@who is unamerican - The statement that Zanna should be deported is probably a bit strong but does that justify the immediate charge of racism? Are you insinuating that Italian is a completely different race than other European countries? Who does that insinuation make a racist?

I would say that Zanna is certainly within his rights expressing his beliefs. BUT, I am also within my rights to point out that some of those beliefs are way out of the realm of realistic.

Those who would choose Zanna as their spokesman on all things to do with government should really take about an hour and browse his various websites. The opinions expressed there put Zanna way outside what would be considered right wing - WAY outside.

Now when a right wing loon OR a left wing nut case start using my tax money by taking wild accusations to courts, I start having a problem. And just by filing and wasting the courts time they are digging into my tax money. They should be required to pay ALL court costs if the court does not find in their favor.

When over zealous followers of Zanna and his ilk start throwing around unsubstantiated charges against public servants for the simple reason that these elected officials do not agree with them it is, in my opinion, criminal and takes away from more important issues. About one third of the subjects on this opinion section are ridiculous and without merit and the responding comments are even worse.

The name calling you use in your post is typical of those who have no specifics to report, they just spew their venom in all directions. That activity negates any amount of integrity or believability that you may have started with.

I don't know Zanna aside from some forwarded emails I receive from others BUT he is the exact definition of of what an American really is. Its a human being that stands up to tyranny to protect EVERYONE'S freedom. Its a sacrificing person who knows that something in inappropriate and pulls others together for the betterment of all human beings.

The comment that Zanna should be deported is the speech of a RACISTS! America is a hodge podge of people who have untied to be free. Many have sacrificed for us to live as we do today..FREE. This county has crossed the line of propriety and should be taken to task swiftly and aggressively to correct the situation.

This certain group of individuals that defend the tyranny that is happening here today are the terrorists. They are the UN-Americans!

Zanna is off playing left field in football game.....he does quite get it.

On the other hand I am now remorseful for my votes for Barrack Obama and our current local County Supervisor. Both are not what they promised. Like Bill Clinton once said, everyone lies to get elected. Although I don't believe the Clinton comment about everyone, these two certainly did. With sadness, and disappointment I will vote to replace Mr. Watson next time there is such an opportunity.

@Ms. Barnes - You fail to show any illegitimate or illegal gain to Ron Walker as a result of this alleged decision. Without private gain there is no corruption.
Your description of the events and alleged failure to provide documents sound a little strange to me. Could it be that Ron Walker just wanted to be sure that you were absolutely aware of the cost involved in pulling and copying the documents before having an employee waste time?

Well, since there are no God-given rights in the Constitution, and the Declaration of Independence really is nothing more than a Dear John letter from us to England saying "thanks but no thanks, we've got this" I think Mr Zanna is a bit confused as to which rights he's standing up for, and I can handle standing up for my own rights, thank you very much.

Maybe that's the problem, instead of being County Manager and doing what's right for the residents, all you do is consult and I agree at an outrageous salary! As far as corruption, the day will come when somebody in front of a grand jury will squeal! The state has already made laws to correct this County on its decisions and I'm sure more there are more to come along with other lawsuits.You can fool some of the people some of the time, but not all the people all of the time!

Here is a perfect example of corruption. A request was put in with planning and zoneing and environmental health on all records regarding our "issue" at hand.

King Ron, apparently has to approve all records requests. Now King Ron decided that we shouldn't get the copies because it would cause a financial burden on us. Who is he to decided what we can and cannot afford. Apparently he forgot about the freedom of information act. What a convenient way to make sure we don't see any thing that might make the county look corrupt.

@Just so you know - I am a little disappointed that you think so little of my dissertations that you would think me to be a county employee.
While those are mostly pretty nice folks, I sure as He** would not want to be one of them and put up with the likes of the fruit loops that post here on a regular basis.

Wrong! You obviously do not understand the difference between God Given Rights and priviledges.

Congress and the Supreme court can try to take away God Given Rights...BUT those people, who understand the difference, will rise up and take back any God Given Right! The Supreme court can never rise to the level of God!

the frog in a slow boiling pot of water??you remind of the frog,the words you wrote{did not trust the uneducated common man}how many of you find this statment some what alarming that govt.feels about its people that it would create the letter of the law to hide behind its own corruption!you ask for an example heres one, the "call to the public "again the letter was created to hide the injustice done to the people
of this county,if you were to follow desert rat's
logic to its end you would come to two choice'es submit or revolt, e-zone have you look at this? have you even look at the new version gen,plan?? i tell you what lets pick a section that we all can talk about, i for one would like to hear more from you on the
