KINGMAN - The Mohave County Sheriff's Office has confirmed that Warren Jeffs was taken to the Kingman Regional Medical Center for treatment last week.

Jeffs was taken to the hospital at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday due to health problems. He was returned to the Mohave County Jail at 8:15 p.m. the same day, said Trish Carter, MCSO spokeswoman.

"Jeffs has been on a medical watch since the first day he arrived," she said. "The jail physician felt that it was necessary to transport him to the hospital to be looked at further."

Carter declined to comment on what sent Jeffs to the hospital and his current medical condition due to medical privacy laws.

Jeffs attempted suicide, fasted extensively and was kept in isolation for his protection and the safety of others at the jail while in custody at the Hurricane, Utah, Purgatory Correctional Facility.

I think this guy has milked the system for long enough. How much longer are we going to have to wait for a decision to be made as to what to do with him and let him suffer his consequences? This is getting really old!

this man sure knows how to win the system. Here he is in there for molesting young girls and women and yet the system makes sure he is treated so good. If he wants to starve or kill himself then more power to him, but all he is doing is getting sympthy from the system and he knows how to do this well.......

Why does this person get special treatment? I'm willing to bet there are other inmates who are in need of better medical treatment than what they are currently getting. People who haven't comitted serious crimes get treated very poorly and that's not right!

where is the justice in this world. My husband who is serving a 30 day sentence being deprived medication that can be vital to his health not receiving his medication. And this person who molested women and children is being cared for as if he did nothing wrong because he threatened to commit suicide. And starve himself.
