KINGMAN - All but one of the 27 swimmers for the Kingman Dolphins Swim Team scored points at the 2009 Andy Devine Days Invitational held Saturday and Sunday at Centennial Park, and six of the Dolphins finished in the top three in every event they swam.
Alexis Bathauer and Aden Dunton led the Dolphins with six first-place finishes each. Bathauer had nine top-three swims in the girls 13-14 year-old division. She won the 50, 200 and 500-yard freestyles, the 100 and 200 backstrokes and the 400 individual medley. Bathauer won the 50 freestyle in a blistering 28.25 seconds.
Dunton finished in the top three in seven events, and he won the boys 8-and-under 25 and 50 freestyles, 25 butterfly, the 25 and 50 breaststrokes and the 100 individual medley.
Jacob Aviles won four events in the boys 15-and-over and took second in the 100 freestyle. Aviles won the 50 freestyle, 100 butterfly and breaststroke and the 200 individual medley.
Michael Bathauer and Brody Leprich each won two swims, while placing in the top three four times. Bathauer won the boys 8-and-under 50 backstroke and 100 freestyle. Leprich was victorious in the boys 15-and-over 100 freestyle and backstroke races.
Matthew Bathauer finished in the top three four times, and he won the boys 8-and-under 25 freestyle.
Jacob Miyauchi and Ty Phillips each added a first-place win for the Dolphins. Miyauchi was first in the boys 11-12 1,000 freestyle, and Phillips won the boys 8-and-under 200 breaststroke.
KDST is now back in the practice pool in preparation for the Ingrid Kallata Memorial Invitational Meet Oct. 24-25 in Anthem.
