The Northern Arizona Consolidated Fire Relief Association donated $4,600 to the Patti Lewis/Northern Arizona Consolidated Firefighter's Scholarship program administered through Mohave Community College Foundation.

The scholarship fund helps with NACFD firefighters' educational needs through MCC's Kingman Campus. Recipients must be firefighters with the NACFD, enrolled in both the fall and spring semesters and working toward a fire science degree.

The scholarship is funded through private donations and contributions outside of the tax revenue of the NACFD.  The scholarship is awarded annually.

"We are very pleased that we can continue to provide opportunities for our employees' educational needs at the local community college while using non-tax related funding to accomplish our goal," said NACFD Fire Chief Patrick Moore.
